Hi, I'm Joe, and this is my story. I began my journey into health and fitness at a young age playing for my local football club, taking up Judo and competing in international competitions, self-defence, mixed martial arts, and boxing. I went on to study Sport and Exercise science at university and then began working as a personal trainer in a local gym, offering health advice and training clients on a daily basis. ​ Shortly after starting, I had the chance to join the police force. Something I'd wanted to do as a boy! As time went on in the job, I felt less and less healthy. I was gaining weight, my stress levels were through the roof, the food I was eating wasn't nourishing me. I felt completely depressed and drained of confidence. The job was killing me. ​ I knew something had to change! ​ So, I left. I quit the job and returned to the fitness industry. ​ After adopting some simple rules of a natural diet, natural movements, smart evidence-based exercise, more stress management and slowing down a bit; I began to realise how good I could feel. Its hard to describe how good it actually felt. I regained my confidence, and I looked forward to social events again. Exercise excited me again, health excited me, nutrition excited me, and life excited me! ​ The science of it all fascinated me. I geeked out to podcasts, books, and youtube, and continue to do so! I needed to share this message with the world! ​ I achieved good results in the gym and helped people change their physiques and quality of life, I found my best results came when I took a holistic approach with clients; changing lifestyle habits and choices. I even applied this holistic approach along with evidence-based training to my own physique competition with brilliant results; taking 4th as a natural athlete in an untested physique competition of 20+ competitors! ​ Now with 8 years experience in the health and fitness industry, I combine the latest scientific knowledge with appropriate massage techniques or coaching methods to help people recover from injuries, ailments and push them to reach their physique goals.
